Anybody tried doing this tradition? Do you like them? I don’t really care for the taste of them, if we did, we would try roasting them.

Haven't done it since I was a kid. I remember liking them though.
By the way,those things are probably 50 bucks a piece today! 😛

For the Christmas period, the Christmas markets in Germany sell, among others, roasted chestnuts. I love them. They are yummy.
But I have also bought chestnuts from the supermarket and roasted them in the oven. Just as nice and yummy.

I have never tried roasting chestnuts but it might be fun to try at some point.

Never roasted them myself, but don't really care for the taste of chestnuts, anyway :-)

No, never been a thing with our family and we don’t have a fireplace to roast them either.
