www.vitacost.com/blog/what-is-a-b-corporation"Plus, 10 Better-for-the-Planet Brands. For-profit businesses can make money and make a difference. That’s the premise behind the more than 3,900 companies around the world that are certified as B Corporations. B Lab, which oversees B Corp certification, says B Corps “are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community and the environment.” Among the best-known B Corps are Athleta, Ben & Jerry’s, Bombas, Leesa and Patagonia. B Corp encourages consumers to flex their purchasing muscles to support these ethically minded businesses...." My notes: My pet peeve is I wish companies would be eco start to finish. Ben & Jerry's doesn't use organic dairy. If it's not organic, chances are it will be from CAFO (antibiotics, hormones, not free range, nor access to fresh air & grass). What I tell people is to pick & choose. But do try to support a true company. Not one that greenwashes. What is the point of supporting i.e. Ben & Jerry's that is for the environment yet sources their dairy from factory farms? It's an oxymoron. Ask questions. "Feel" the company. If they come back with a generic answer, move on.

I think having such type of the policies are not that easy. And people have to be working really hard in order to enforce those on business. And also we have to understand if there are really possible chances of the manufacturing and the other things need a lot of research for the changes in the process too. I think it takes a lot of time for such changes to take effect.
