Plastic Alternative in Everyday Lives

A lot of products are making use of the plastic packaging and something like that is harder to fix later. And instead a lot of products can be packaged better and safe. Also they can be done in a way that can stand longer as well. Something like that needs to be properly handled as suppose. 

So do you think business should focus on innovation where the plastic alternative can be acquired?

Plastic has been the go to choice for most packaging. Styrofoam is the biggest culprit since there is very little recycling done, at least in our area. It's hard to find places to take styrofoam. And styrofoam cups should be outlawed.
The one use and throw away mentality is filling our landfills. I don't see plastic packaging going away, but styrofoam and single use plastics need to be stopped. The majority of the waste we see is single use stuff.
