"Each year on April 30th, National Honesty Day challenges us to be truthful in all we do. We know the different kinds of lies. We’ve spared someone’s feelings or fudged the truth just a little or maybe told an all-out whopper. Unless we walked on water, we’ve all told a lie or two. This observance encourages truthfulness. Whether we’re conducting business or speaking with our children, honesty goes a long way toward instilling confidence. We all make mistakes. Sometimes, we don’t know the answer or can’t control the outcome of a situation. However, we can control our own actions and words. And we can speak the truth in all we do."
My notes: I wish for all human beings to just be honest. Agree to disagree but be truthful.

ZandraJoi, Yep, I don't walk on water, either:-) Told my share of 'lil white lies', mostly to not hurt someone's feelings; altho, I do try to keep it down to a minimum. Besides, the truth is MUCH easier to remember than a bunch of lies:-) On the flip side, if you ask my opinion & something doesn't look good on you, I will tell you the truth...'nope, that orange looks terrible on you'..:-) Bottom line: Being honest & truthful is also being true to yourself; people will know they can trust you...& that's a good feeling!

It's great to have a day to celebrate honesty. Sadly dishonesty is the norm, at least in my neck of the woods.

Sometimes it's hard to be completely truthful without hurting somebody's feelings. But in general, yes, we should always be honest.

"National Bugs Bunny Day on April 30th commemorates the date the famous bunny first appeared in a short film in 1938. Known for his comical antics, Bugs Bunny created memorable roles in Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons produced by Warner Bros. The wascally wabbit caused many a raucous scene for his castmates Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, Porky Pig, Pepe Le Pew, and Marvin the Martian. However, his eminent counterpart was forever the estimable hunter, Elmer Fudd.
His popular catchphrase, “What’s up, doc?” continues to be associated with the humorous bunny. He first appeared in 1938 in Porky’s Hare Hunt as a Happy Rabbit but later solidified his character as Bugs Bunny in the 1940 A Wild Hare. Over the years, various actors have voiced the animated bunny. However, Mel Blanc originally voiced the iconic “Eh, what’s up, doc?” voice and he did so for almost 50 years."
My notes: Bugs Bunny has always been my favorite cartoon character. I'm talking about the classic ones, not the newer ones too lol

Yeah, the older, classic cartoons were way better. If it's already a winner & people (kids) love it the way it is, why mess with a good thing?

"April 30th recognizes another food holiday known as National Raisin Day. Raisins are tiny sundried grapes. While sunlight dries most grapes naturally in vineyards, some are mechanically dehydrated. People have been enjoying raisins for as long as grapes have been growing. Raisins are naturally low in fat and contain healthy nutrients. California produces the majority of the world’s raisin supply."
My notes: Do you like raisins? Or grapes? Have you tried to make your own raisins before? I have when I was younger, didn't turn out but it was a fun experiment lol

I do like raisins, especially on cereal!
Never tried to make my own, though.

"Each year on April 30th, National Hairstylist Appreciation Day honors hairstylists everywhere who make artful hairstyles possible. A talented hairstylist will not only make you look good but also make you feel good. This day also celebrates the uniqueness of all styles of hair. Hairstylists receive training that gives them experience with a variety of textures, styles, and colors. No matter your style, your hairstylist knows the latest cuts and fashions to make your favorite looks come true. They also know how to keep your hair healthy and manageable, too. Whether you like it short, piled high, or sassy, stylists spend their days honing their skills so you look your best." My notes: A day to honor those who help make us & our hair look good
