tasteforlife.com/living/eco-home/tips-for-gardening-naturally"Whether you’re growing vegetables, fruits, or flowers, the last thing you want to do is use pesticides that can harm you, your children, your pets, and the environment. North Americans use approximately 136 million pounds of pesticides on lawns and gardens and in their homes each year—that’s three times the amount farmers use. Consider safe, natural controls for garden pests instead...." My notes: I'm putting this in Gardening for beginners because for some people, gardening naturally IS new to them.

I have to be careful with what plants I sow - sometimes our weather is so wet some of the annuals actually rot.

I would suggest better to start in gardening and then follow other steps. The most important thing is to join a active group and ask help for others. I am into gardening from more than 4 years and still love to grow more fruits, vegetables, but no space.

One big thing is not to plant too early. Make sure all chance of frost is over

First of all, you need to be clear on what kind of gardening you want to do: grow food or grow ornamental flowers. Secondly, you need to identify what kind of gardening space you have. Only then you can plan your gardening.
