"Recognized each year on May 30th, National Water A Flower Day recognizes the season of caring for our garden plants. This time of year, our flower gardens should be in full bloom. Keeping them hydrated sometimes seems like a fulltime job. It’s often a therapeutic business, caring for a living thing. The more they’re nurtured, the more they thrive. It’s important to know whether your flowers like damp soil or to be more on the drier side. Newly planted seeds will need daily watering until germination. Most plants prefer well-drained soil. If they are potted, they may require daily watering. However, if they are planted in the ground or are heat resistant plants, they may require less frequent watering. The holiday also offers an opportunity to care for the gardens of those who may be homebound or in the hospital. Take the time to visit a friend who may need some cheering up by bringing them some freshly watered flowers."
My notes: I love tending to my flowers. We live on acreage & have a huge area for them. I have 5 rain barrels that I use but sometimes have to resort to the hose during drought times.

My wife does an awesome job harvesting her own seeds and planting them the next year. She keeps the flower areas weeded and looking great. She loves doing it and it makes her happy. And if she's happy, I'm happy!

"Unleash your imagination on May 30th for National Creativity Day! Whether you are an artist, writer, musician, filmmaker, blogger, photographer, graphic artist, or any of 100 other creative personalities, the world is going to celebrate you and your creative pursuit. And you absolutely deserve it! Other than nature, everything within sight originated with a creative thought from someone like you!"
My notes: While I'm not an artist, I do like writing & have written creative things. What do you like to do?

"Each year on May 30th, Loomis Day recognizes the man who received the patent for wireless telegraphy in 1872. The Washington, D.C. dentist, Mahlon Loomis, received US patent number 129,971 titled “An Improvement in Telegraphing” on wireless telegraphy in July of 1872 beating Guglielmo Marconi’s United Kingdom patent by nearly 25 years. Born on July 21, 1826, Loomis was also the inventor of artificial teeth and one of the earliest inventors of wireless communication. Loomis died on October 13, 1886."
My notes: The first wireless communication!
