healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2020/07/16/how-to-protect-our-wildlife.aspx Story at-a-glance An estimate from the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association (NWRA) suggests that more than 75% of the animals cared for have been affected by human activities Every year, anthropogenic, or human-caused, threats kill billions of wildlife; top threats include collisions with man-made structures such as wind turbines and windows, as well as vehicles, poisoning and predation by pets At the AWARE Wildlife Center in Georgia, most animals that are brought into the facility have been injured by vehicles, often because they’re drawn to a roadway in search of food Not throwing food or food wrappers out of vehicle windows may help save wildlife; AWARE also urges people to pick up their fishing line or use biodegradable line so animals don’t become entangled in it If you see a wild animal that appears to be injured, sick or orphaned, contact a local licensed wildlife rehabilitator who can help you discern if the animal is truly in trouble or whether it’s better off to leave the animal alone My notes: Learned a new word- Anthropogenic. We all have to work together on this planet; it's the only one we got!

It's hard to believe that it's only 75%. I would have thought it was closer to 90%. Seems everything humans do affects the wildlife.
