www.familyhandyman.com/list/household-items-reusable “Save money and reduce your carbon footprint!...” My notes: Ways to think outside the proverbial box. Which ones stand out for you? I've used slightly chipped coffee mugs for miniature vases before. Any clothes, towels, that are worn out are then used as rags. We already use our own containers for the restaurant. Gotten quite a few compliments as many people may think of bringing a bag to the store but not the containers to a restaurant. We also fill them up with leftovers ourselves. Same way I pack our store bags as well. Cashiers, waiters never have to touch them.

Great article!
Whenever I buy new sheets or pillows I've always used those zippered plastic bags. Most are so big they'll hold a blanket or two. So many uses for them.
I keep most of our prescription bottles cause they're perfect for small items and amounts.
Any mugs or cups that are chipped are used for smaller plants or seedlings. And remember those Ball jars for canning that were a pretty blue color? If they're chipped, they make beautiful vases & a great conversation piece:-).

I still drink out of mugs if they are slightly chipped - I wouldn't throw them away on those grounds. If they don't leak - I keep using them.... ha.

Good ideas. I like this. Reduce, reuse, recycle.

You can reuse many more than that and should. Why waste money if it's still good? Just reuse it until it's not usable.
