"National Lipstick Day on July 29th encourages you to wear your best color. For some, lipstick is the only makeup requirement. Whether sheer and light, dark or bright, July 29th calls for all kinds of lipstick. Throughout the ages, controversy surrounded lipstick. British Parliament banned it in 1770 calling it a devilish attempt to trick men into marriage. In some circles, lipstick was associated with witchcraft. Occasionally, lipstick contained poisonous materials. It is said Sarah Bernhardt created a scandal by applying “lip rouge” in public. Surprisingly, George Washington supposedly wore lipstick. While Queen Victoria considered wearing lipstick impolite, one of her statesmen had a different opinion. During World War II, Winston Churchill thought the lip color boosted morale in an excellent way. Of course, versatility is lipstick’s brand. It changes with a mood or with the scenery. Whether lipstick defines your attitude or channels your inner spirit, wear it on July 29th. No matter your style, lipstick adds a subtle accent or a bold statement. Let your lips speak. However, punctuate it with your lipstick."
My notes: Who wears lipstick? I used to years ago. A light shade. Nothing that stood out. But I rather just wear lip gloss lol

Fascinating article about lipstick! For any woman lipstick makes the color of her eyes POP...it's flattering. I do wear lipstick and lipgloss...it's important to find organic brands, too

"The best way to join in National Lasagna Day on July 29th is to bake up a pan of the Italian pasta dish. Another way to celebrate is by getting a table at your favorite Italian restaurant. Due to lasagna’s broad noodles, the pasta lends itself to layering. A variety of ingredients such as cheeses, meats, vegetables, and sauces create a delicious blend of savory baked layers. For individual servings, roll similar elements into the pasta noodles."
My notes: Lasagna seems to be quite popular. It's also filling. Do you like it?

"Today is July 29 and International Tiger Day on the National Day Calendar to raise awareness about the dwindling numbers of the tiger. Global leaders focus on the tiger during meetings designed to promote a system for protecting and enhancing their natural habitat. Nearly 100,000 tigers roamed Asia a hundred years ago. Today, the estimated number brings the tiger population to fewer than 4,000 tigers in the wild. One of the goals of International Tiger Day is to raise money to help save tigers and increase their population."
My notes: Tigers are such beautiful creatures. It's a sad time when we lose many of our animals.
