“The word “Gnarly” gets a bad rap. It can mean “bad” or “dangerous” but can also be exciting. Surfers often use the term to describe the waves they tackle. Much like surfers challenging the waves, Get Gnarly Day challenges us to put some gnarliness into everything we do. The last Friday in July provides an opportunity to embrace new ideas and toss out old ways on National Get Gnarly Day. The word “Gnarly” gets a bad rap. My notes: I’m not one for taking risks. What risks do you like to take?

I don’t mind some risks but not where I could die. Let’s not get too gnarly!

"National Father-In-Law Day on July 30th recognizes your spouse’s father annually. Dedicate some time to your father-in-law on this day. Fathers-in-law bring a new perspective to our lives. Whether we are a new addition to their families or made bonds a long time ago, they grow to have an honored place in our hearts. They are the patriarchs of our families. Whether they’ve built a reputation for being stubborn, softhearted or full of humor, these men stand as one cornerstone of a sheltering family tree. During National Father-in-Law Day, celebrate the father-in-law in your life."
My notes: I was always lucky to have in-laws who love me & my parents love my husband. Unfortunately, my father-in-law has passed now but I do have fond memories.

"Today is July 30 and International Day of Friendship on the National Day Calendar. We are using today’s International day to encourage forging friendships near and far. Let’s develop strong friendships worldwide in hopes of a growing spirit of human solidarity. The day encourages making friends and building relationships with people outside of your own culture, country, or background. Through these relationships, a culture of peaceful and mutual understanding develops."
My notes: Take the time to send a text, email, make a call, or if possible, visit your friend today!

Absolutely! I've made several friends in the U.S. and around the world. I try to keep in personal contact (as opposed to just posting on a forum) as much as I can.

I have one I even text and talk on the phone with. Did you meet online or is it a friend you knew from when you were a kid?

I met her online. Seems we meet the most people online lol I think it's easier for adults to find somebody we connect with that way.

Truth. She's become my best friend. We can talk to each other about anything. And I mean ANYTHING.

I think I can guess We can have more than one best friends out there. I was just never fortunate. But I live by proxy for those who find that true friendship with another.
