If you were ever wondering about the weird little sayings that I have in my profile and my signature, they are almost always song lyrics. (On my own forums, they are quotes from various places. The previous one here was "The uproar of one hand clapping," which was from the Principia Discordia.)
So, yeah, have a few guesses. I might just post new ones once the old ones get guessed...
There are few hints I can give, because my musical tastes are eclectic and, while I'm fairly well ancient, my preferred eras tend to range around quite a bit as well.

scooter, It's always fascinating what people choose & the WHY they choose it. I had to do a search but I did find yours. Bad Attitude by Meat Loaf.

As for why I chose it: well, I'm a fan of Meat Loaf, saw him in concert many moons ago. This song really doesn't get the play that many of his others do because it's one of the few not written by Jim Steinman, but it's still a great one and as with his others, it says plain truths in that epic hard rock style.

"Move the heart, switch the pace - look for what seems out of place..." I have no idea. Jeez...I looked it up and cannot believe this song came out in 1989. Of course, I was listening to Bauhaus in my college days, so...

Cute addition to your profile scooter , Thanks! And yes, that lyric is from Peter Murphy's song "Cuts You Up"...
It's such a fine song, and it's always good to remember that particular snippet of lyric. And oh, what a fantastic baritone.

I'm not familiar with jazz rock.

Songs are amazing because of this. I love them because you can identify with any lyric.

scooter , Interesting. I've never heard of jazz rock. Jazz. Rock. But not together It's often called fusion. The genre was begun in the late 60s, and probably the first man to conceptualize it was Miles Davis. This is from his classic album In a Silent Way.
If you're more into the vocal side of jazz fusion, you should listen to George Benson. This comes from his groundbreaking album Breezin' in the early 1970s. Benson was one of the first who played the "smooth jazz" sound; it was a more commercially friendly sound, and it paved the way for musicians like Kenny G. Of course, Kenny never did anything this good!
