www.alive.com/lifestyle/organic-has-company"When you hear “certified organic,” what comes to mind? Food you know to be free of toxic pesticides, hormones, and GMOs? A verdant farm-scape tended by a grower dedicated to its ecological health? The US Department of Agriculture describes organic agriculture, in part, as “practices that support the cycling of on-farm resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity. These include maintaining or enhancing soil and water quality [and] conserving wetlands, woodlands, and wildlife ...”" My notes: An interesting read of the meaning of the word "Organic".

Interesting article..makes you think about it, that's for sure.
And, instead of just 'organic', we should look into the holistic approach, too.
Lots to learn here:-)

Never thought of the philosophy of the term.

When I think about organic the picture that comes to my mind is something that is manufactured using natural methods such as grown on soil (as opposed to hydroponics, or warehouse gardening), using natural seeds (no GMO), and no chemical fertilizer or pesticides used.
