healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2022/05/05/altruistic-australian-magpies.aspxStory at-a-glance A team of scientists Down Under has discovered, entirely by accident, that Australian magpies are not only highly intelligent, but also altruistic, helping others in their group dodge danger The scientists intended to learn more about the birds by using innovative, tiny, wearable tracking devices to collect data on all sorts of daily magpie activities What the scientists failed to consider was how the devices would be perceived by the birds, and how motivated and adept they would be at removing them from each member of the group This "rescuing" behavior by magpies is considered very rare My notes: I don't know why they call it rare. A lot of animals help each other out, it's just not recognizable to humans. Many animals have a call that lets others know of danger. I think we should take their hint & remove a lot of the technology on our bodies!

Yes, very intelligent, especially being able to remove those tracking devices. All creatures have their own ways to keep themselves safe..from ANY kind of predator.
