What do you do with pets that live in your home while festive events that are loud are happening near your home? Like fireworks, as loud bangs tend to make most pets go and hide somewhere or act violently.
I know some people who send their pets away to farm lands during 4th of july.

We have two dogs. Our Lab may bark at them if he is outside but otherwise doesn't bother. The Rotty will search around the house to try and find what direction he should be barking but he will eventually get bored and give up. So, thankfully we don't have much issue with them.

We have a dog, Husky Mix, who is my little follower. However, when there's loud bangs (fireworks, guns, thunder), she'll lay right at my feet. If I get up, she'll get up too. At night she sleeps under my bed (the frame is up high; no boxspring). I have a loud white noise that I have on at night 'cos I wake quite easily but it helps drown out the noises. We also have 2 elderly cats. I gave all furbabies extra attention last night. My youngest cat is going deaf so he doesn't hear as much. The other can still hear & stays by me. We live rural, in the country, but we have a lot of "bangs" around here.

Both my friend's dogs don't like fireworks at all, much less thunder, so on nights when there is a lot I know they will run and hide in a corner or somewhere. On fireworks nights they will set up a sound proof closet (as best as possible) to drown the noise but doesn't do the best job as they still cower.

We had a Hound that was terrified of all noises basically (he was abused before coming to us). We found that a horse blanket wrap did an amazing job at keeping him calm during storms and fireworks, it wasn't a great process, but with the blanket, he would at least walk around and follow people instead of picking a corner and not moving.

My parents Greyhound absolutely hates fireworks, it's awful watching him as he gets so scared.

Usually, I keep them at home and I try to stay home with them because I know they don't cope well with fireworks.

Our dog and cats hide. We cuddle with them.

Ya, I don't know many dog focused brands for this items. I will give them a look as the blanket idea always worked well for us.
