blog.mountainroseherbs.com/how-to-hike-and-camp-sustainably"We are in full swing of summer recreation season, so what better time to talk about how we can be sustainable and mindful when spending time in nature. Leaving no trace is a common principle that encompasses many actions (or inactions) to ensure that we leave the land around us in as good, if not better, condition than when we arrived...." My notes: The 9 ways are: 1- Stay on Trail 2- Choose Camping Locations Mindfully 3- Be Smart With Fire 4- Watch for Invasive Species 5- Forage Only When Necessary 6- Do Not Forage At-Risk or Endangered Plants 7- Protect and Respect Water Sources 8- Pack Out Everything 9- Properly Handle Human Waste

Nice tips you have and one mroe I recommed is to carry a solar lantern which can be used as a torch or light whenever it is necessary. This is good for anyone and cost is too less.

Thank you for bringing that one up We bought a Prepper box & in it was a solar lantern. Anybody interested more in sustainable options, look into Prepper sites. Those are meant to last for a long time & be used for when we don't have electricity. They are perfect for this topic!
