Do you include meat products (eggs, chicken, sausages, etc.) in your diet every day? I don't. I try to limit myself into eating meat only twice a week. That's because I believe our body needs more plant based diet compared to animal based diet. I think plant based proteins are better than animal based proteins.

We don't eat meat everyday since eating same thing will get bored all the time. I am also an hindu so we don't eat on Modays and Saturdays as per our religion. We eat thrice in a month or no more than 6 times in a month.

I need meat products to stay healthy. I just can't get the same proteins and other necessary nutrients from other foods that I can from meat. I used to rarely eat meat when I was younger (I hated it actually) and then I had a change of mind and started eating it. My body really felt better and there was improvement with so many areas of my health that needed it. I won't go back to that semi-vegetarian lifestyle again.

It's been two months of me being a vegetarian. I'm feeling way more healthier than ever. I used to be very lathargic and lazy. Now I feel so much energetic and happy.

I grew up hating meat & very rarely ate it. But I also have a fiber intolerance. That's not good for when you want to be a vegan! I started incorporating more organic meat into my diet & feel that has helped my digestive. I would love to be full vegan but my body just cannot handle it. It's genetics too; many family members have trouble digesting fiber.

Maybe one day she'll see that I'm right.

Maybe one day she'll see that I'm right. It's hard. I fought it for so long as I didn't like eating meat for ethical reasons. I eat it now but I don't compromise & only eat Organic. If she is wanting to be a vegetarian due to animal welfare, ask her to look into local organic farms with sustainable practices. Not CAFO where they are factory operations.

Wait? How is eggs a meat?
Anyway, I do try to eat a little meat every day, it is needed for a proper diet and I certainly don't get enough protein as is.

"By definition, vegetarianism is classified as excluding any form of animal flesh (the tissue, muscles or meat of an animal). The humble egg doesn't fall into this category and is therefore included in a vegetarian eating pattern." I however considered them to be in the meat category 'cos they're from chickens which ARE meat. To me, it's what makes somebody feel comfortable. Some vegetarians have no problem eating eggs while others do.
