loopstore.com/how-it-works
My notes: Saw this last year, think in a newsletter or Natural Awakenings. Doesn't stress organic BUT they liken it to olden days of getting milk in glass jars & the milkman picks them back up to wash/reuse. Only available in Northeast USA & Paris right now. Founder is from TerraCycle. & ironically, i.e. Personal Care, I didn't see any organic brands. I saw Crest, Pantene, etc. I did see Preserve but that is an oxymoron. Preserve is already meant to be reused 'cos it's tableware- plates, cups. Not like a shampoo or soap bottle. Ironic tho too, the companies in here are the biggest contributors to toxins. Procter & Gamble, Unilever. Häagen-Daz. So while it’s reusing, it’s not helping the micro plastics that are actually IN products nor the chemicals that they use. Haagen-Daz- not non GMO, uses conventional, CAFO milk, antibiotics, etc. Yet they are ‘for’ sustainability & helping the bees. Just not for eliminating toxic ingredients or CAFO.
I did see MegaRed, Seventh Generation, Nature's Path. But out of those 3, only Nature's Path has ONE thing - pumpkin seed flax granola. So some companies ARE in it, but they are not currently having anything to buy. Oookkkk.
loopstore.com/brand-partners But again, it's a start. Just see a lot of 'starts' out there. Will see in a year or two how/ IF it keeps going.
2020 Updated, not much has changed. Still don’t have a lot of products. I just wish a company was TRULY sustainable, beginning to end. Not jumping on a greenwash bandwagon & doing a ‘Look at me I offer reusable containers.’
