I don't think plastic nets would work since they cut them like rats as I have tested here. First I allowed them to eat Guavas, but they destroyed whole tree by leaving parts of Guavas that attracted insects, unable to eat by humans. I am looking another way to control these Squirrels, so far I use spray water on them to leave, but it doesn't effect them all the time.

I've used red pepper flakes but you need an awful lot of them.
