www.familyhandyman.com/list/15-sneaky-signs-your-homes-about-to-be-infested "Just because you don't see the bugs marching into your house doesn't mean they're not coming. Here's what to watch out for, and what you can do to stop an infestation...." My notes: Have you seen any of these signs? i.e. more spiders or even ladybugs? They come BECAUSE you have other insects for them to eat. I never realized that!

I didn't know that, either! Only seen 1 little spider the last 2 months or so and no ladybugs...sounds good to me:-)

My only sign is when the freeze thaws in the spring, after that I know damn well ants will come marching into my home. Got to figure out how to keep them at bay next year because they get pretty bad.

Do they come in the same area? What kind of ants are they? We had black sugar ants in our cupboard. We did a mixture of sugar & borax that they brought back to their nest. After a week, they didn't come back as the borax killed their nest. If you know where they are coming in from, try sealing that area.
