www.barkandwhiskers.com/2024-01-12-distracted-dog-walkingStory at-a-glance Many people multitask while walking their dogs; some even see dog walks as an opportunity to accomplish two or three or four other things. However, research suggests that just 2.5% of people are able to multitask effectively Distracted dog walking is potentially dangerous for both dog and walker, because when your attention is focused elsewhere, you may not be able to react quickly enough to avoid, for example, an out-of-control vehicle, an aggressive off-leash dog, or a trip-and-fall off a curb Additional drawbacks to distracted dog walking include setbacks in your dog’s training or mental health, opportunities for mental stimulation through sniffing, and dog-owner bonding activities Whenever possible, take advantage of different types of dog walks to keep things interesting for both you and your furry family member My notes: Some good tips on how to train your dog & why it's beneficial for both of you. Edit: Link is no longer available so replacing it with valid one.

There are different kinds of halters for dog and my daughter bought a halter that allows the leash to be in front rather than on top of the back. This kind of halter has prevented a lot of pulling since her dog is about 60 pounds. I was not used to that type of halter and am slowly getting used to putting it on the dog and walking her. It seems really solid.

www.naturalawakenings.com/2022/05/31/400326/misbehaving-dog-walks-ways-humans-get-it-wrong"One of the primary activities we do with canine family members is to take walks because they love them and benefit from them. But just as some dogs, for a variety of reasons, are difficult to walk, some people are less-than-ideal dog walkers. When we’re teaching our canine BFFs how to behave at the end of a leash, most of us aren’t nearly as concerned with our own behavior during these outings. We assume we’re doing everything right, and it’s our furry sidekicks that need correcting. But believe it or not, we’re just as capable of bad behavior during walks as the other way around. Here are a few reasons why...." My notes: I like this one as it focuses more on the human not the dog.

You need to start when they are young. Dogs are harder to train when they are older.

One of dogs is very aggressive and it's very hard taking her for a walk because she always stresses the hell out of me. But the other 2 are very calm and friendly. They make my life very easy taking them for a walk.

Ive heard this thing in the past to train dogs when they are little younger maybe 2 months. I have seen here most of dogs walk on roads in other side while the owner another with a chain attached to it.
I don't like this type and some dogs sits on Two wheelers without disturbing anyone and I like them a lot, but walking never seen like the topic.
