I've never had to use them myself. But, if I ever have to, these tips are good to know

I've jumped cars numerous times with no problems. One thing most people don't know is to hook the negative to the good battery but not the bad battery. That end gets clamped to the frame of the vehicle. It will work with both hooked to the batteries, but safer the other way. Most people would think both ends on both batteries.

Yeah, I knew some of it. The newer cars have a different mechanism.
