With the gas prices being so high now, do you plan on taking any vacations this year? If so, will it be close to home?

This is less of a problem for the UK peeps I guess since you can travel to some of the holiday destinations in just around 3-4 hours by car. We're planning to travel outside of the UK this year anyway.

Lodging and food prices raise my traveling cost and not the gas price. For example, If I travel to the nearest national park, it will cost me just $40 on a plane, however, I will have to spend more than $50 per day on hotel and food.

lammchen, How much is the gas price their? I am traveling this year in local only and we too have so many prices rised up. If gas and petrol price goes up, then everything will rise up. I thought gas prices have rised in few countries only, but now hearing a lot.

During times like these there is truly only one good place to vacation at! On your couch and not go out of the house lol, but seriously it's insane to even think to take a vacation unless you make really good money.

I see their is only half of the price has been rised but here it is tripled than the original price. When the congress was their the price was 350 Inr, but now it is 1100 Inr. Every few months the price is sky rocketing here and they say due to russua and ukraine war and so on. |

Gas and Gasoline are different Interesting! We use them interchangeably here when referencing vehicles. However we do use the term Natural Gas as a form of heating. What do they mean there? |

LPG = Liquified Petroleum Gas aka Gas is used for cooking purposes.
For vehicles, it is petrol and diesel

LPG = Liquified Petroleum Gas aka Gas is used for cooking purposes. For vehicles, it is petrol and diesel We don't call it petrol in the USA. We call it either gas or gasoline for our vehicles. The 2 names mean the same thing to us. We do call it diesel however. LPG is also called propane here, which we use to cook with & heat the home. We don't say we heat or cook with Gas, we say we heat or cook with Propane or Natural Gas. I know the term 'gas' can mean a lot of things |

Not necessarily this year, but in January. I'm hoping to plan and take a ski trip this Winter which will be about a 2-3 hour roadtrip. Gas prices are ridiculously high but it's been a while since I've been on vacation and it's definitely needed
