naturalwestmichigan.com/heal-our-world-checklist"Our current systems and practices are depleting the Earth’s resources at an increasing rate well beyond its capacity to renew itself. According to the World Wildlife Fund, it takes a year-and-a-half to generate the resources we use in one year. That’s an unsustainable path for the planet’s future...." My notes: Some of these are tried & true ideas that have been promoted for many, many years. But even the simplest ones are those that people don't care to do. They are lazy to walk an extra foot to drop a recyclable into the appropriate bin. Then some are hard or even illegal in some areas i.e. rain barrels. Can you add any to this list? I just add in Rethink. Rethink what you buy & do.

I got this from National Geographic: The new study, published in the peer-reviewed journal Science Advances, is the first global analysis of all plastics ever made—and their fate. Of the 8.3 billion metric tons that has been produced, 6.3 billion metric tons has become plastic waste. Of that, only nine percent has been recycled. The vast majority—79 percent—is accumulating in landfills or sloughing off in the natural environment as litter. Meaning: at some point, much of it ends up in the oceans, the final sink.
How pathetic is that.

Yeah, Rethink. You are not the only one in this world. Think about others. spice, And hear we think we are doing the right thing by recycling!

lainee, I never imagined it was THAT high. You see recycling everywhere, even mandatory in some places. But the amount that's generated is so much higher.
