"Celebration of Life Day on January 22nd honors the children and grandchildren who bring joy to our lives. The day is a reminder that each child and each life is to be held as a precious gift with the highest respect and dignity. Children grow up so quickly. They’re constantly learning new things and changing daily. Each day they delight us with their simple wisdom and observations. By spending time with children and demonstrating the care and love they deserve, we celebrate their life."
My notes: Just like with National Hugging Day, don't let ANYBODY tell you you can not be with your loved ones. Life is too short.

"National Blonde Brownie Day on January 22nd recognizes a treat often referred to as blondies. Almost everyone knows that a blonde brownie is similar to a chocolate brownie. In place of cocoa, bakers use brown sugar when making this delicious brownie, giving it a sweet-tooth-satisfying molasses flavor! Most people like to add white chocolate or chocolate chips to their blonde brownies or other things like nuts, toffee, or butterscotch. Blonde brownies are usually prepared unfrosted as the brown sugar flavor tends to be sweet enough. These blondies are sometimes served in sundaes, often topped with caramel sauce."
My notes: I've always loved blondies. Did you like them? Did you top them with anything or just eat them plain? Mine were plain.

"Display your fashion sense on January 22nd and celebrate National Polka Dot Day! The day also honors one of animation’s most popular characters and fashion diva, Minnie Mouse! Polka dots refer to fabric printed with spots. The word first appeared in the 1857 Godey’s Lady’s Book, a women’s magazine out of Philadelphia. Today, polka dots appear on more than just fabric. They’re painted on walls and fingernails. You find them on pottery, phone cases, furniture, baked goods, and paper products. We wear them, walk on them and display them."
My notes: Do you like polka dots? Do you wear them? I don't mind them; kinda cute but I prefer solid colors.

My notes: Just like with National Hugging Day, don't let ANYBODY tell you you can not be with your loved ones. Life is too short. Amen to that! My notes: I've always loved blondies. Did you like them? Did you top them with anything or just eat them plain? Mine were plain. I've actually never had one. Sounds delicious! My notes: Do you like polka dots? Do you wear them? No and no. I prefer solid colors as well.

"Your kitty has questions and January 22 is the day to be answering them, hence it is known as Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day. What child hasn’t promised their cat that if they just reveal they can speak, they’ll keep the secret? On this special day, we’re listening to each meow and trying to understand just what that cat is getting at – we just wish they had speech bubbles above their head like Garfield!"
My notes: Do you listen to your cat? If you notice & listen closely, you will be able to differentiate the different meows, hisses, purrs, trills they do & what they mean.

I think their facial and/or body movements tell me more than their voices.

I think their facial and/or body movements tell me more than their voices. I find all combined can help. Our one cat squeaks lol The other has different meows. Our male cat tends to swish his tail like a dog, even when he's sleeping!

That's funny because when we had a number of cats the largest one made this little squeak sound when he did speak, which was rare. Over 90 sounds a cat can make and that's the one you choose?

LOL I grew up with cats. A lot of barn cats as we lived on acreage & had farms all around. Some were feral but just stayed enough to let you be in the vicinity. I wish TNR would have been a thing when I was young. But anyways, I've heard all different sounds, noises. Tiny little meow to a piercing one. I could tell "who" was around lol

Would love to understand what our pets say! That'd be so awesome! Then we don't have to guess!
