"National Look Alike Day on April 20th celebrates those who look like another person. National Look Alike Day each year April 20th celebrates those who much like look like another person. Similar to the two sentences preceding this one, people who look like each are still unique in their own way. This day was created as a fun day to look like another person. Growing up, did a teacher constantly call you by another student’s name? Some of us often hear the words, “You remind me of someone,” or “You look just like so and so.” If so, then you are one step ahead of the game. Professional look-alikes perform as entertainers. Some of the most famous roles they play are Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. But others look like presidents or actors. If you do find your spitting image, some might call it a doppelganger. However, seeing your doppelganger suggests you’ve seen your spirit double who roams the Earth. In folklore, seeing your doppelganger signals a bad omen. Though over the years, the term has come to mean someone who looks just like you. Now the chances of finding someone your mirror image depends on who you believe. There’s no strong scientific evidence one way or the other, and different tools analyze different features. But if you’ve met your living clone, you know just how likely the chances are of running into your look alike."
My notes: Any of you look like somebody? I have never seen anybody who looked similar to me.

I guess I have a really basic look because there are multiple people throughout the US who look like me! I resemble some of my close friends so much that in high school people thought I was sisters with them!
I used to take the train into Chicago to work and people would call me Patty. I'm not Patty LOL
There is a stripper in New York City with blonde hair (I have brown) who looks like me.
There was a woman in a hotel lobby that my church friends came across who looks like me.
There is a pharmacist in a nearby town I resemble.
And in Mexico there is a hostess who looks like me...but Hispanic!

Can't say I've ever met or seen anyone who looks like me. I did read somewhere that everyone has a double somewhere in the world though.

"National Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Day on April 20th celebrates a sweet cake that contains pineapples and cherries. Americans have been enjoying this springtime cake since the early 1900s when many cakes were made in cast iron skillets. To make a Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, line the bottom of a cake pan with pineapple rings. Then place a cherry in the center of each ring followed by a butter and sugar mixture. Finally, the cake batter is poured over the pineapples and baked. When the cake is done, it is turned upside down onto a platter before serving, revealing a delightful and delicious masterpiece. Serve the cake with a dollop of whipped cream for an extra treat."
My notes: I love pineapple but must admit I haven't had this cake before lol Have you?

"Volunteer Recognition Day is the annual celebration of those who selflessly benefit the lives of others. By providing a helping hand to those in need, humans and animals alike, we are all naturally working towards making the world a better place. Every single one of us has been benefited from the work of a volunteer and Volunteer Recognition Day acknowledges the beauty of this phenomenon. Every direction we turn, we can do something outside of our daily list of requirements. As you go about your day, honor and thank those who go to the extra mile." My notes: Have you ever volunteered? We have at animal shelters. I had this thread Volunteered as a QOD.

"National Lima Bean Respect Day on April 20th gives the humble lima bean its due. When cooked, fresh lima beans have a creamy texture. However, dried lima beans once cooked serve up a bad reputation due to their graininess. There are ways to achieve smooth, buttery lima beans using dried beans. First, it's important to sort the beans and discard any wrinkled or cracked beans. Place the beans in a large bowl and cover them with three times as much water as you have beans. If any beans float to the top, immediately discard those, too. Soak the remaining beans overnight."
My notes: Who likes lima beans? I pick them out lol They have such an odd texture & taste I can't get past. If you like them, do you eat them plain or in a recipe?

I never liked them but Michael made recipes using them and I honestly have come to enjoy them. Do you have any recipes that they taste good in? I'm sure with the right ingredients, the taste would be better.
