healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2021/06/21/dogs-understand-our-body-language.aspx Story at-a-glance Recent research with hundreds of 8-week-old retriever puppies suggests that dogs are born with the ability to socially interact with humans The pups involved in the study were still eating, sleeping, and spending most of their time with their littermates vs. humans The inexperienced, untrained puppies were able to understand human pointing gestures 66% of the time, similar to adult dogs, and also made extended eye contact with researchers The researchers concluded that at least some dog breeds are born with the innate ability to interact socially with humans An earlier study showed that untrained stray dogs are also able to follow human pointing gestures My notes: Some animals, not just dogs, have a deeper intuition that us humans don't have.

Body language is actually VERY important to dogs so this is definitely true. Body language is actually what causes some dogs and pets to go off and attack you while vice versa - It does the same thing for them to listen to you as well.

I believe this as well, most are very good listers and know exactly what you are saying to them. I know mine does.
