I personally prefer cats over dogs simply because overall they are way less maintenance. I definitely adore the unconditional love that dogs tend to give but what a privilege it is to be loved by a cat and have the choose you to be affectionate with! Personally I have two dogs and a cat. Dogs need so much more attention than cats and I feel guilty when I'm not able to spend plenty of time with them. Cats just seem way more independent. If I had to choose I would say I prefer cats.

Hard decision. Cats are easier to take care of. Dogs are funner, more interactive I guess than cats.

I like both as well. Both have their uniqueness. Our dog goes everywhere with us, I take her for walks. Then the cats have their own quirks, certain way they play, cuddle, etc. Found this article & thought it fits in with this thread: Difference between dogs and catsspg, sharon, Bob

It was requiring me to subscribe to access the entire article. Have you guys heard of a Litter-Robot? It's an automatic litter box that kind of looks like a spaceship. It was a complete game changer for my family!

sharon, It's free to sign up but I can understand some may not want to. So I normally do a Story at a glance & I'll include that here: Story at-a-glance One of the primary differences between nature’s design of dogs and cats is a little-known tendon in the neck called the nuchal ligament; dogs have one, cats don’t The nuchal ligament is designed to stabilize the head in animals that run fast and far, including dogs, horses, and humans; cat don’t have the ligament, likely because they don’t run their prey down, but instead rely on “stealth, explosive power and flexibility” Another difference between canines and felines is that cats aren’t earthbound like dogs are — they can climb and jump, which gives them more options when hunting for food and staying safe from predators; dogs are earthbound and depend on their pack to hunt effectively
