healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2021/09/29/tips-to-reduce-stress.aspx Story at-a-glance It’s simply a fact that dogs suffer from stress, and chronic stress can affect your pet’s overall health and quality and quantity of life There are 10 common signs of stress in dogs, including nose or lip licking, yawning, panting, and trembling/shaking Common canine stress triggers include changes in a dog’s environment, punishment-based training methods, and separation from human family members Some stress triggers may be outside your control, but there are many things you can do to reduce stressors in your canine companion’s environment My notes: Don't punish them 'cos they are scared. Instead work with them.

Yes sometimes exposure for them to those things and letting them face fear works. And not engaging them when they are stress also works some of the times.

Don't punish, establish dominance, but do not punish the dog for doing dog things. It's an animal who thinks and acts sometimes like nature intended it. As for stress reducing, you can always use petting and food.
