healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2021/10/28/acupuncture-for-penguins.aspx Story at-a-glance At Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut, African penguins receive regular acupuncture sessions, which are used to treat medical conditions like spinal problems as well as enhance trust and bonding with trainers With each acupuncture session, the trust between the trainers and the penguins grows, which they hope will facilitate other physical assessments and x-rays when needed, ultimately helping the aquarium to better understand this endangered species A 2021 review found that a number of molecular mechanisms explain why acupuncture works to relieve pain, including “a variety of cellular messaging systems at the local, segmental (spinal), and suprasegmental (brain) levels” — representing a “three-tiered” system of pain relief Increasingly, it’s possible to find veterinary acupuncturists who will see dogs, cats and other pets, including even reptiles; the effectiveness of the sessions depends largely on the skill level of the practitioner My notes: While I have tried acupuncture & didn't have much success, there are many humans & creatures that have benefited.

I never really tried it and the animals are maybe scared and can’t relate to the theory of it.
