www.familyhandyman.com/list/10-things-you-should-know-about-recycling-electronics "10 Things You Should Know About Recycling Electronics The average lifespan of a laptop is two years, and a cell phone is even less. Here are 10 things you need to know about electronic waste and e-waste disposal...." My notes: One key action I want to address is limit what you buy. Don't upgrade unless you need to. Planned Obsolescence is very real. Entices us to buy the newest & greatest gadget. Even when we have one that works just fine.

So true...these crazy companies simply 'make 'em to break 'em'...pathetic! And, we're making it easy for them cause we keep buying the stuff!

While it is very important that we must recycle e-waster properly, there is a risk associated with it. Make sure that you destroy your data before getting rid of your devices. Because data recovery methods are so advanced that they can even repair a broken glass ( as an example ).

We recently had the drive for the recycling of the electronics. And the thing is that we often need to think about the proper way because often that is kind of not possible as well. It takes time though, not always possible to get people on same page for recycling they just don't sort their garbage like that.
