Which one do you primarily consume ? Rice or wheat ? Certain countries are very dependent on wheat. Rice is not easy, so let us say that it is superior and hardly common.

I can't handle wheat. Wheat is one of the GMO foods & it's not even the 'real' wheat like our ancestors ate. Rice however doesn't bother me & is a staple in our household. But we still make sure we get organic rice. I can however see the dilemma when a lot of the world is dependent on wheat & wheat products.

Do you cook rice for lunch ? What do you take with it ? Or a soup ?

Rice is a staple in our house. There is always some already cooked and ready for consumption. We try to be healthier and make brown rice but I prefer the taste of white rice myself.

Do you cook rice for lunch ? What do you take with it ? Or a soup ? We make stir fries for dinner using rice. But I also use gluten free pasta that is made from white or brown rice. Rice is a staple in our house. There is always some already cooked and ready for consumption. We try to be healthier and make brown rice but I prefer the taste of white rice myself. I do too! Plus brown rice tends to bother me whereas white rice doesn't.

spg, ZandraJoi, sharon, Trying to cut back on wheat products so we eat more rice. I prefer white rice to brown but can eat both. Rice is so versatile & it can be used in many dishes; although I don't mind it by itself with butter, salt & pepper :-)

Prefer rice. I like it better. You can do more with it. I like wheat too, but we do organic. You can fry rice but you can't fry wheat lol

My toddler is happy with rice, eggs, a little salt, pepper, and garlic powder. It's so easy to throw together - I don't mind having it as a meal myself!

Interesting. What is pasta normally made of ? Whole wheat normally. For those of us who don't want wheat nor gluten, we look for other alternatives. Wheat bothers my stomach.

Rice seems easier on the stomach, but it has almost the same qualities as wheat. It all depends what you are used to tbh. Both are unhealthy in large amounts as they contain sugar, but then again you can't rule anything healthy today as each individual is different and reacts different to different food. I prefer rice most of the time if possible. But my country has more wheat so most products are made out of wheat which forces me to eat more of it.

I don't really love eating rice often. I can go 5 weeks without having a spoon of it. I prefer wheat more.

I prefer rice over wheat. Rice has a distinct and great flavor that I find incredibly satisfying. Also, rice offers a wider range of culinary possibilities and pairs well with various ingredients and cuisines.

I used to eat a lot of wheat toast, but haven't had any in a long time so these days I mostly eat rice, either white or fried type. I need to pick up a health wheat food again.

More wheat than rice for me, although I am a fan of certain types of rice (especially the lemon kind!)
