Everywhere around us there are numerous offers for us to save money by spending money. Have you actually tried not spending money at all ? It is hard not to spend money when there are many interesting things to do and buy. But it is harder not to fall in the lure.

We don't spend too much money. Only main things are food & supplements. We rarely go out. I personally hate shopping so only buy clothes, shoes when I REALLY need them lol

It was fun a while back. But it is consumerism all around these days. I do like buying things and that is why I am worried. You cannot live without spending a lot to match the social metrics. It is now unavoidable. Not to buy something every now and then is very hard.

ZandraJoi, spg, Yep, buying things can feel good, but, use your head. A splurge every now & then is fun...especially if it's something that you can also use....like a new vehicle :-) We don't spend a lot, though. A trip to the grocery store just about does it! lol Actually, nowadays, it can't be helped...EVERYTHING is higher ..:-)

Those apps from estores never miss a chance to alert us of new offers or discounts. Amazon isn't that annoying though.

Yeah, I’ve never spent money. Like Black Friday. Just don’t go into it. Don’t spend money just to spend money.

I'm not especially good with money. It seems like it's hard for me not to spend it all at once. XD

This month, I managed to survive without buying anything significant. I hope to continue this for a couple of months before giving it. Some deals are so interesting to miss though.

It is hard to do. I'm Dutch & we are known to be penny pinchers & quite frugal. I learned early on the value of money & to pay cash. Lessons that I've carried later in life. However, I DO splurge on occasion but I make that splurge count.

Your expenses will never let you breath. It doesn’t care if you're interested in saving or not, you must pay the bills. You can only be able to save after you have paid your bills.

If I prevented myself from spending money, I wouldn't be able to survive as to live you need to purchase necessities. With this being said, after putting a percentage of my income aside for a emergency fund at the end of each month, the remaining will be used on wants or days out.

It is easy to do so and a pain for a lot of people. My pal and his wife are trying to save up money, but often yield to buy random stuff and drain their savings.

bizdustry, It's just how the life of an adult is. Once you start taking care of yourself and your own responsibilities, there's no taking break from it.
