healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2021/12/15/baking-soda-to-eliminate-pet-smells.aspx Story at-a-glance Baking soda has been around forever, it seems, and we’re still coming up with new, creative ways to use it, especially in homes with dogs Did you know you can use baking soda as a nontoxic cleaner for potty accidents in the house? You can also “de-skunk” your dog with a baking soda bath, or give him a dry bath in between grooming appointments Baking soda can be used to get rid of doggy odors on carpets and pet beds; it can also be used to clean grubby dog toys, and it can even be used to relieve the pain of bee stings My notes: We get the big bags of Baking soda & I use it, along with white vinegar often.

www.familyhandyman.com/article/ways-to-get-rid-of-cat-smell "Cat smells stinking up your home? Here are five DIY ways to get rid of the stink for good. Lingering cat smells can be a headache for homeowners. Even if residents of the home become so used to the smells they no longer notice, you can bet guests and potential buyers will. Plus, cat smells can be offensive to cats themselves. Cats mark territory with their urine. And a cat smelling the scent of another cat, particularly one from a different household, may develop behavioral issues such as aggression, agitation or urinating in inappropriate places, such as peeing outside the litter box. If a cat keeps peeing on carpet, it could be because there’s a lingering urine odor in that spot. That’s why understanding what causes a cat smell to linger, and learning how to get rid of it, can make your home a more pleasant place to live and visit...." My notes: This one includes baking soda, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, enzymatic cleaners. I never had good luck with enzymes. They seemed to make the odor worse, especially on carpet. Is there a trick to using them?

Hydrogen peroxide is good for is blood stains. You know should you not be a good parent and get your female cat spayed. Works on clothing too. Used as a mouthwash as well.

healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2022/10/23/pet-odors.aspx Story at-a-glance Scents that stray too far out of the ordinary for your pet, or which are particularly offensive or noxious, can be cause for concern If you smell a strong musty smell coming from your dog, it could be a yeast or bacterial infection; an infection in the ears or skin may cause a sweet or musty odor A putrid, rotten meat odor can be a sign of parvovirus A sweet odor coming from your pet’s skin could be a sign of a staph infection, especially if you notice areas of redness, bumps or oozing A strong, fish-like odor coming from your pet’s backside could be due to the expression of their anal glands No matter the odor, if you’re unsure whether or not it’s normal, a trip to your integrative veterinarian can help clear up the issue My notes: Some odors & what to be on the lookout for.
