I am astonished that how much chemicals make into the environment everyday. Most of them is unnecessary. We use many of them as luxury or for showoff.
Have you tried anything to fix this?

Since being more eco, I'm sensitive to smells & harsh substances. Some tips is not to buy into their spiel. Use natural products. Castile soap is multi-purpose. We bathe, wash dishes, wash hair with it. Baking soda & white vinegar are powerful cleansers.

How do you manage to do this, especially living in the US? Organic or natural options are dying down with an alarming rate.

spg, ZandraJoi, Well, just buy more organic and natural products and keep buying it...it'll help support the companies. And, while some options are dying down, and that's a shame... there are people out there who make their own products on the side. They make it mostly just for their own use, but when family members learn of it, they know where to buy it..:-) Plus, when people speak out, stores will get the hint & stop selling the toxic stuff. Like I read recently that Costco will stop selling Round-up...excellent. Enough people must've complained...

The best way to be organic is to make them ourselves. There are a lot of old day things that we can still rely on. There was a time when people were self sufficient.

To be honest, I never trusted labels in my life. There are a lot of old day style products available these days. But they are mostly very bad than what we call synthetic.

Advertising and truth are so much apart I have never seen a real doctor in those thousand ads where they give medical advice.

There are a few people who try to educate common folks about these pit holes. But they are mostly ridiculed and insulted.
