www.familyhandyman.com/article/pet-insurance "Insurance offers peace of mind for people, but what about your pets? Here are the top pet insurance options, and the pros and cons to consider. As pet owners, we welcome cats and dogs into our homes, and we hurt when they become ill or suffer an injury. Even worse, our hearts break if we can’t afford proper care...." My notes: Do any of you get pet insurance? What do you think about it? We never considered it. We are more into holistic living for humans & that goes for our pets as well. Preventing dis ease is worth more in the end than treating it.

No. I wouldn’t either. We take care of our pets and they don’t get sick very often, if at all.

Since Pandemic times the insurance companies have been reducing the policies meant for people including the pets. I am wondering if the policies do extra check these days to avoid paying people. But yeah I have yet to experience that. I assume in near future we will see if the governing bodies control the insurance companies on their tactics.

My mom has pet insurance on her dogs, we didn't get it on our cats but may get it when our cats get older. They are still fairly young.

When I found out that my workplace provided pet insurance, I had considered it. However, I hardly ever take my dog to the vet, when I do it is because she is sick which is a very rare ocassion. It's cheaper if I just pay the vet bill instead of paying for the insurance. If I was to place the amount I would spend on pet insurance into a savings account, then I would be set for whenever I needed to go to the vet. In conclusion, at this time I don't feel pet insurance is necessary for me or my doggo.

Eating healthy, lowering stress, getting exercise & that goes for our furbabies.
