healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2022/02/13/is-sleeping-with-your-pets-healthy.aspx Story at-a-glance There’s no right or wrong answer when it comes to sharing your sleeping space with your pet Whether it works for you depends on both your — and your pet’s — sleeping habits and preferences If you feel depressed or anxious, having your dog to cuddle with at night can bring a sense of calm, security and companionship Studies generally suggest that sleeping with your dog is not disruptive to overall sleep quality, however it can lead to microawakenings, or fragmented sleep Dogs have a different sleep-wake cycle than humans; while some adjust to their owner’s schedule, others may move around or bark during the night, interrupting your sleep If you suffer from insomnia or other sleeping disorders, you should experiment to see if sleeping with your pet improves or interferes with your sleep My notes: Who lets their pets sleep with them? As much as I love my furbabies, I don't allow them on the bed. I wake so easily & so often, I would never get any sleep. I do allow our dog to come in at times especially if it's stormy out as she likes to sleep under the bed.

I used to but our dog didn't like it anymore. I can sleep just fine with or without our pets on the bed.
