Who has tried it? Who has thought about it? What might be some challenges? How much would it cost probably? How would the situation relate to where you live as far as climate and stuff? Do you want the whole deal or just some off-grid?

Always sounds good but too much work to be done. Would have to know how to fix everything on your own.

Won't be fun in my opinion. We are social animals, need help to survive.

I wouldn't mind living off the grid. Sometimes those who do have more of a community 'cos they HAVE to rely on each other.

I have not lived off the grid, but I have a desire to do that some time in my life. I have a small farm 250 miles away from the city. I might go and live there some day

I have tried it once or twice. There's this nice spot in one of the rural villages in my town where there's nothing like cell network. If I go there, I would dissappear and no one can reach me.

Nope, nope, nope. I remember when our power went out for a few days how we hated it. So nope.
Living off the grid and still wanting electricity means you have to rely on batteries to do the job. It's not just one battery that can handle the load, so a series of batteries are needed for things like solar power, and whatnot.

I can't live off the grid. My life depends on being connected online as it's how I do my job every weekdays. I have moved on with civilisation. Going back to how life used to be won't work for me.

I would love to live off the grid if I could. However, I couldn't do so since I rely on technology for my everyday life. I also currently don't have any hunting skills for me to actually hunt for food if I was to live off the grid. There is a lot of work that goes into living off the grid.

I look at tribes that live without technology and they seem happier than us. But, when we had the big hurricane I had no power for eight days and hated it.

I could do it, might have some issues going cold turkey though. But the only way I could do it is if I lived in an area where it was warm year round, no way could I do it in a cold area.

Not really an option for me, since I'd be lost without my computer!

I haven’t tried living off the grid. It’s not exactly easy to do in the UK?m. You’d have to become part of the traveller community, and it invokes regular moving due to the majority of land being privately owned in the UK and police moving you on. If you can buy land or rent it legally I don’t think you’ll run into many issues
