www.familyhandyman.com/article/if-you-see-a-painted-purple-fence-this-is-what-it-means "Knowing about purple paint laws can help you stay on the right path when driving or hiking in an unfamiliar place. During the summer, a lot of people enjoy traveling, vacationing, camping and other outdoor adventures while the weather is warm and comfortable. If you’re somewhere new or unfamiliar, it’s always good to get a proper idea of your surroundings. Better safe than sorry, right? The next time you’re out exploring with your friends and family, keep an eye out for purple fence posts. What Does a Purple Fence Mean? The laws vary from state to state, but generally, a purple fence means no trespassing. While property owners may still choose to use “No Trespassing” signs, the signs are likely to be stolen, damaged or worn out over time. A quick coat of purple paint has staying power, though...." My notes: I have honestly never heard or even saw this in our area. Is it prevalent where you live?

Barney lives there? lol I saw that on Lone Star Law before. I’ve never seen it here. To me, if you have a fence up, it means no trespassing otherwise why have a fence?

I've never heard of this... I generally think if there's a fence then... trespassing is frowned upon anyway. I would love a purple fence for aesthetic reasons...not so much a deterrent for trespassers.
