healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2022/03/03/buying-pet-friendly-home.aspx Story at-a-glance Among U.S. pet owners, 43% are willing to move to better accommodate their pet, while 1% said the desire for a better home for their pet is what prompted them to make their home purchase Among recent home buyers, 18% said that choosing a neighborhood with convenient access to a veterinarian and/or outdoor space for pets was very important, and 68% said that animal policies in the community influenced their decision about where to move With the majority of U.S. households (66%) now either owning a pet or planning to get one, homes with pet-friendly features are in high demand A fenced yard, larger home and pet-friendly flooring where among the most important home features cited by pet guardians The No. 1 rule when choosing a new home for you and your pet is to ensure that your pet can come along My notes: Before we moved to this house, we took the time to put in our enclosure with a 6' high fence with cat-fence-in netting to keep ours in & other critters out. I also prefer carpet or at least rugs so our dog doesn't slip & slide.

Get them used to their surroundings. Spend extra cuddle and play time with them.
