naturesplus.com/blogs/gardening/5-tips-for-perfect-tomatoes "No store-bought tomato can compare in flavor with that of one you’ve picked, fully ripe and fragrant, from your own garden. That’s a big reason why tomatoes are the most popular vegetables among home growers. According to the National Gardening Association, 86% of backyard gardeners plant tomatoes. Another reason is that tomatoes are easy to grow for even casual gardeners. Here are ways to enjoy a bumper tomato crop all summer long...." My notes: I agree with that! Store-bought does not compare with ones we have in our garden. Ones in the store don't even have a taste really!

Totally agree with that! Store-bought tomatoes are just okay... for the winter or off-season. But, in-season..fresh out of our garden...way more delicious!

I have grown tomatoes, and in my experience compared to other vegetable tomatoes are a little harder to grow. The seeds have low germination and the plants need a lot of tending such as regular pruning, tapering, etc.

I have grow Tomatoes in the past and they have more tastier than the market. Home grown vegetables are always toxin free and healthy too. I thought recently to grow tomatoes using hydroponic system, but didn't get enough time nor support from anyone so left the project alone.
Hydroponic method is too good for growing tomatoes, but investment needed for space, laborers. In these days people started growing inside their homes too.

I feel like making use of the tomatoes seeds and plant them in one of the empty area nearby house. I want to experiment with different types. I am going to get some of them from the amazon and see the difference for each of them.

One of best grown in my home was Spinach in the last year and presently planning to bring more seeds with different types of Tomatoes. Try Spinach too that will be tasty with Toor dal.

As much as I want to, I can't really eat a tomato, I've tried it in all kinds of ways and the only way I can enjoy it is in ketchup form. Of course, I've only gotten them from my grandma's garden so being fresh I should enjoy them, but I sadly don't.

Well, most of the ones in stores are greenhouse grown from Mexico or Canada, at least around here. I prefer farm fresh or homegrown.

People think they can follow any article story for growing plants, but this is not possible in plants growth and they are just like humans. I have struggled all the time and still not yet satisfied with most plants.
I planned to grow 100 Tomato plants, but most time pests attack them and dries out.

if i chose seaweed fertilizer, can i also use the rock phosphate or i only need to choose one of the two as fertilizer? Many people use them both together as they provide different nutrients. I personally am of the one at a time. One may be what your plants need but if it's in a combo, you won't know what is helping them more.
Hope this helps
