www.familyhandyman.com/list/flashlight-tips-and-tricks "Flashlights do more than brighten up a dark room. Here are some brilliant flashlight tips and tricks that just might surprise you...." My notes: We've used the hack when trying to find something small on the floor. Works great! #9 We have headlamps. They came in handy when we lost power (before we got our Generac) so we could see where we were going as well as read to pass the time. #10 While we don't use paper plates, just holding your hand over it or any piece of paper makes the light brighter.

A few months back I bought a small flashlight. Sometimes we get power outages that last a while so better than fumbling around in the dark.

We've had our share of power outages, too, so, we finally did get a Generac whole-home generator :-) And, while they are pricey..to not worry about outages anymore...it's well worth the money

Some cool ideas, but seems most are solved just by using the headband light like we have. But I really like #7, putting glow in the dark tape on them so you can find them in the dark.
