healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2022/07/14/bird-population-decline.aspxStory at-a-glance About 48% of the approximately 11,000 bird species worldwide are known or suspected to be undergoing population declines Since 1970, a devastating loss of nearly 3 billion individual birds has been reported in North America alone According to data from the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List, 13.5% of bird species are threatened with global extinction, 4% of which are endangered and 2% that are critically endangered Ongoing loss of habitat poses a major threat to bird species, including habitat fragmentation and degradation Other threats include hunting for food, sport or trade, invasive alien species, disease and environmental pollution My notes: The answer is: Humans. We plow land under to build houses & shopping malls. We spray 'cides that kill insects but also harms the birds. We want picture perfect lawns. Gist, we don't respect the Earth & its creatures. Heck, we don't even respect other humans.

Didn't know that. But, if we cared enough & tried, we could solve the problem.

Humans, climate change, loss of habit all contribute.

Staggering declines in bird populations are taking place around the world, I firmly believe that and loss of habitat an climate change is not helping the situation.
