On the radio yesterday, the DJ was talking about some symptoms of being in the heat and one thing he said was that dogs can get diarrhea. The reason is because the heat is a stress on the body and that's how it reacts.
I'm going to have to let my daughter know about that one!

Heat exhaustion. Humans can get an upset stomach if they don't drink enough water. And pets don't usually drink much. Make sure to keep them cool and have plenty of water.

lammchen, Bob, It's a good tip for pet owners to be aware of. Especially with these record high temps all over now.

I think cool milk can solve these type of problems, but here I don't know how they live even in hot summer. I have never heard this thing about Diarrhea in pets. Thanks for the valuable tip this can be helpful for some of dog owners.

healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2022/10/26/pet-diarrhea-treatment.aspx Story at-a-glance An encouraging article in a mainstream veterinary publication addresses the (mis)use of antibiotics to treat pets with diarrhea, and suggests nontoxic alternatives Thankfully, more veterinarians are realizing that antibiotics typically don’t help, and often exacerbate chronic or repeated episodes of acute diarrhea in otherwise healthy animals There are many different non-drug approaches to treat diarrhea, including introducing whole food sources of prebiotics and fiber, and fecal microbiome transplantation (FMT) In treating otherwise healthy patients with diarrhea, in my experience, the most effective first step, and the step most likely to provide long-term resolution of the condition, is to address the diet My notes: Even though we are getting into fall & winter, some good ideas on how to help diarrhea all year long. lammchen, Bob, golden,

Yeah, don't use antibiotics all the time. Try to treat it yourself. Maybe a change in their food.
