I say pop. But I've been saying soda just to be different because everyone around here calls it pop.

I'm from the midwest and we say Pop. I remember when we moved to the side of the country where we live now and went to the grocery store and couldn't find the Pop aisle. That's because it was the soda aisle!

I call it "pop." I heard that in the South, they call every kind of pop "coke." That seems rather confusing to me. ^^

I say soda or coke myself, even if it's not coca cola. I don't drink a lot of sodas. If I do it's usually with pizza or cheeseburger.

I was talking to some friends & some of them prefer to pour out the pop into a glass. Provided it’s not in a glass bottle already! So I thought it a good added on question: Do you prefer it in an aluminum can, plastic bottle, waxed paper, or glass bottle? & why? Does it taste different to you? While I haven’t had pop in a long time, I do remember the cans have a “tinny” taste. Plastic didn’t do it justice. Glass was my preferred method as well. Don’t get me started on the “pop” that is sold at soda fountains. They never taste like the name brand! The waxed paper had an off taste too. T.T., lainee, Bob, lammchen, stormyfire, sharon, tdbnz,

T.T. , lainee , Bob , lammchen , stormyfire , sharon , tdbnz , I actually prefer the 16 oz plastic bottles over all the others unless it's a well-maintained fountain. The ratio of the soda water to the syrup has to be just right. Cans are okay, but not my preference.

It's pop in my area which I say, I sometimes do say soda if I feel like being different.
