www.familyhandyman.com/article/how-droughts-affect-lawn-care"Droughts don't have to be a death sentence for your grass. For many homeowners, keeping their lawns emerald green and lush throughout summer and into fall is a matter of personal pride that takes hours of careful work. If your region is going through a drought, however, that can be problematic. In cases of severe drought, it’s a challenge simply keeping your grass alive. But if you’re resourceful and consistent, you can still care for your grass during a drought while remaining environmentally conscious...." My notes: Another option is to not worry about a lawn, that grass which isn't natural. Work with not against nature as Mother Nature knows what she needs. But if you already have grass, this article will help you take care of it in an eco way.

We don't really worry about our grass, so we don't water it. I'd much rather water our garden and keep the produce healthy

I was watching an infomercial the other day or some news story about people who come by and paint your lawn green and it does hold up rather well. Otherwise, you could put in a plastic looking grass which is what I would do if I had to do something like that.

Otherwise, you could put in a plastic looking grass which is what I would do if I had to do something like that. I've seen both too! I personally wouldn't but I'm also of the type I don't need a manicured lawn. We have some areas where wildflowers (aka weeds) are let to grow & while there's not much grass there, they do have some pretty flowers that to me looks better than dried up grass. Working with & not against nature is very beneficial.
