www.foxnews.com/world/norway-officials-euthanize-beloved-wild-walrus-citing-risk-humans "Norway officials euthanize beloved wild walrus, citing risk to humans Authorities referenced the public's unwillingness to keep a safe distance from Freya as a reason for the euthanasia...." My notes: I'm putting this in the Eco section as it deals with the environmental impact. She was just being a walrus. Leave it to humans to do something like this. It's quite sad! Yes, we won't know the whole story but what irks me is instead of trying to relocate her or stopping the humans, they kill her citing risk to humans. She wasn't aggressive.

HMPTH! True, we don't know the whole story, but, the 'humans' could've tried harder to resolve the issue. They didn't HAVE to euthanize her...she had a right to be there & they could've kept their distance And, seems to me the humans were a risk to HER...not the other way around!

That is so sad. I like Norway too. Seems to me they could have relocated her. I'm sure people would have donated $ to help with the expense of it.

They should have relocated her. So sad they chose to end her life instead.
