Have anyone of you started watching the latest TV series House of The Dragon? It started streaming on 21st August 2022. It's got two episodes released already and it's been absolutely thrilling.
If you haven't started watching it, I would recommend doing so.

If you haven't started watching it, I would recommend doing so. It has Matt Smith in it from Doctor Who so that piques my interest. I have however never watched Game of Thrones. Since this is a prequel, do you need to watch Game of Thrones or can it be a stand-alone?

The ads say no need to watch GoT.

Ya, I believe they are pushing to not require GoT, which is a smart idea IMO as it is 8 seasons if I remember correctly.

True. It will take minimum 8 weekends or more to cover GoT alone.

I've enjoyed the first two episodes, think they've done a good with it so far. Hopefully the pace quickens up a bit in future episodes.

Just now noticing the mirroring of Rhaenyra and Catelyn stark both having their hands cut by the Valyrian steel dagger while both protecting their sons from said dagger.. Both incidents is the beginning of a war in Westros
