I always try to reduce waste. I try to make compost from organic kitchen waste. I don't use single use plastic. I always carry a grocery bag when I go for grocery shopping. I try to reuse empty cans and bottles as flower planters. How do you try to reduce waste?

For starters, we try not to buy so much food wrapped in plastic to begin with...and, that's a toughie cause just about everything is:-) So, we recycle what we can. We have a garden, so food waste goes out there, and we use canvas bags for shopping

We are into holistic health. We buy mostly organic which is on the pricey side so we are extremely careful about food waste. What we don't finish up, my husband takes to work. He's always cooking something for us & brings some of the leftovers to share with others there. What we don't use, we compost. What the animals don't eat, it goes back into the ground. We use canvas bags for the store. Bring our own reusable containers to restaurants & local farms. The most important thing I believe is Rethink. We rethink what we want to buy & if we need it, can it be recycled, composted, etc.

I recycle, compost as much as possible. Sometimes we only put out a bag of trash every couple of weeks.

Canvas bags, reusable containers. The R’s. Reduce Reuse Recycle. Rethink can be hard but is doable.

I always wonder if services like the milkman will return as more and more people turn to delivery and online sales for basic needs. Some things just don't work well and perhaps these services can bring a spike to reusable containers (and maybe a population boom, but that is a whole different subject).

I wish we still had some of the door to door services. Now everything is over the internet. There's no social aspect. I feel if people become more social & get out in the world, they'll be more apt to take care of it (i.e. reusable containers, recycling, etc).

Reusable produce bags are also a great thing to upcycle. I made mine out of some mosquito net I had lying around and they work a charm.

Try not to use plastic bags as much and any waste that needs recycling we have bins that we can place items in for example one bin gets collect one week for plastic, cardboard, wood etc then another week for main bin then during the recyling week in the summer we have another bin for gardening waste, also optional not a lot of people where i live do it but theres a small container we can fill with waste food that can be collected also.
aside from this try to cut down on gas heating usage as much as possible too.

I am carrying a bag for me to buy anything in the market and always burns the plastic wastage in my backyard so this can reduce totally. I also use kitchen waste to make organic compost for my plants.
