tasteforlife.com/diet-nutrition/eat-for-health/plant-based-milk-alternatives"Does someone in your family have dairy allergies or sensitivities? Are you trying to reduce or eliminate dairy products from your diet? Or are you just in the mood to try something new? 21 percent of Americans use milk alternatives. If you’re seeking a non-milk product for drinking, pouring over cereal, or to use as a nondairy substitute for cooking and baking, you won’t have any trouble finding several on your grocer’s shelves...." My notes: If you want to try an alternative, the best thing to do is just buy a few of them to test out. An other option is to make your own nutmilk. It can be messy but can give you a cheaper idea if you like the flavor or not. I like almond milk. I used to make my own but I could never get it creamy. Now I get the Simply Almond Unsweetened. I then add in MonkFruit & baking cocoa to make my own chocolate milk. Since the cost is up there, an option is to split it with friends & family. So everybody can try it out with minimal expense & waste.

I enjoy the nut-based kinds of milk. Cashew milk is really good, but I normally go for Almond milk as it is cheaper. All I can say is that Pea milk needs a new name.

So good, better than cow’s milk. I would eat pea soup and I’m not drinking pea milk. I already learned my lesson with egg nog.

I never cared for cashews so didn't try the cashew milk. They are a softer nut & is used to make mock cheese. You can make nut milks yourself, it's cheaper, but is messier.
Maybe they can call Pea milk, Legume milk But if one is allergic can they safely consume lactose in even small amounts? An they can have coffee mate creamer? Thank you-! Coffee mate is non-dairy, although if some people have an allergy, they may find the casein in there can cause problems. An allergy is different from a food intolerance. If one has a true allergy, they shouldn't consume the food. For food intolerances, some find they can consume a little before feeling any effects such as an upset stomach, brain fog, etc. I enjoy the nut-based kinds of milk. What I've done is take vanilla extract & just add it myself.
What was the lesson with egg nog?
Many people like it for the rich, creamy texture. Do you add anything to it?

I've had a couple of them. I had a latte with coconut milk instead of regular milk, and I've also had oat milk on my cereal.
Of those, I'd day the oat milk was probably the best - although, I'd also be interested to try some of the others!

I like animal-based milk. I tried soy milk but I found it to be a little smelly. Even though I liked cashew and almond milk, I see better use of cashew and almonds compared to blending them to create milk.
