www.naturalawakenings.com/2022/08/31/408935/food-dehydration-made-easy-best-ways-to-preserve-the-harvest"Drying food is the oldest known method of food preservation. Middle and Far Eastern cultures have used the sun and wind to dry foods since 12,000 B.C., according to the National Center for Home Food Preservation (NCHFP). Today, the easy availability of food dehydrators offers a convenient way to preserve the fall harvest...." My notes: We had a Dehydrator when I was growing up. We dried fruits & meats all the time. Do you have one? Would you consider getting one?

We currently do have one, that we used years ago, to dry fruits & veggies. We also used it to make jerky.
Don't use it anymore, though... so we might get rid of it.

I've always seen it done in cartoons and the such, always fun seeing them expand upon adding a bit of water lol. I've seen my family dry out some deer meat though to make deer sticks and the similar meats, interesting process.
